What is a Lasting Power of Attorney?

It enables one person , the giver of the power, to appoint one or more other people, who are called attorneys, to make certain decisions for them especially where the giver later becomes unable to make such decisions for themselves. It enables anyone to plan ahead to a time when they may not be able to look after themselves. This brings peace of mind where such plans have been put in place.

There are two types of Lasting Powers of Attorney namely one for Property and Affairs and the other for Personal Welfare – we can discuss with you whether one or both are required.

Do contact us to discuss either your own or perhaps the needs of a close relative.
